Celebration of 10 year of AJVC , 8 to 13 sept 2011 PDF Print

The AJVC on the occasion of its 10th anniversary celebration holds a great unifying event which will involve youths from Cameroon and from all over the world. This event will take place in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Activities will be held at the headquarters of the AJVC at Oyom-Abang; at the City Hall, at the community centre, at the American embassy, at the National Museum or at other ecological site, at the Congress Palace… The Celebration will extend to the Sub region and the world through the AJVC networks and other platforms and the worldwide celebration of the year of forest, of volunteerism and of youths. This event will involve existing networks and focal points of the President of AJVC, real and potential partners of the youths organizations and thematic, associations’ young leaders, media, civil society, international organizations, embassies, donors, African leaders, Heads of States and governments.

This event will be celebrated at the national, sub regional and the African and world level with the participation of the President’s leaders youths networks of central Africa, the millennium development network, the pan African youth networks, the peace network, the HIV network,  the central African youth forest network, youths thematic networks and other youths platforms. Several official partners will participate in the implementation of this event. These partners are organizations, businesses and civic organizations working in the field of: youth, promotion of volunteerism, sustainable development, issues, problems and the International Voluntary Service. The U.S. Embassies with the Peace Corps International, VSO, UNV, DED, volunteers of Nvogada, organizations working on the field of volunteerism, and the ten focal points of REJEFAC Cameroon will be involved on the volunteerism debate to exchange experiences and celebrate the year of volunteerism. Obviously other strategic partners will also be associated to the event: the youth empowerment network Act now project and platforms and ministries and relevant departments, Medias and social networks, the private sector will play a key role. So the association has organized national, regional and now would like to organise an international meeting again. This meeting was to promote environmental education and to encourage youths to participate in regional initiatives to enable them to get familiar to the national and international environmental field. The association focused its action on the issue on climate change and in particular on the evolvement of youths in sustainable management of forest ecosystems, which is an important issue for Africa today and tomorrow challenges
