For the first time in the history of France-Africa Summit, held a Youth Forum in Africa and the Diaspora, to give young people the opportunity to reflect on their situation, but also to define the axes priorities to guide their participation in economic and social development of Africa. African Youth Forum, Bamako 2005. On Tuesday 8 and Wednesday, 9 November 2005 were held in Room Bazoum SISSOKO Palace of Culture in Bamako the opening ceremony and work of the Youth Forum of the African Preparatory youth participation au23e France Africa Summit. The Forum was attended by representatives from thirty-one (31) African countries including Mali. The opening ceremony of the Forum was placed under the chairmanship of His Excellency Mr. Amadou Toumani Toure, President of the Republic of Mali, surrounded in time by: Minister of Youth and Sports: Natie PLEA, Mr. CNOSAF President: His Excellency Tiebile DRAMA, President of the Forum Steering Committee and Executive Secretary of the National Council of Youth of Mali: Siriman Traore. His Excellency has largely dwelt on the great paradoxes of the African continent and the various external pressures that hinder and seriously jeopardize the development of Africa. But His Excellency pointed out that there is hope for the continent because of its youthful population, any thing that involves the examination of youth problems must be through a rigorous process. So that's 6 to 8 December 2005, the Youth Forum in Africa and the Diaspora has resulted in an address to the African Youth to Heads of State. This address has shown the determination of young people to occupy the place which is theirs in the development of Africa. She especially urged policies to take better care of their youths by helping them meet the many challenges they face. Mary Tamoifo was designated by his peers to be the spokesperson at the summit of heads of states. The Africa-France led to the Heads of State meeting in Bamako from 4 to 5 December 2005, to give their agreement for the realization of this dream. Thus the youth while creating an African Youth Council, have formed a Pan-African Network, with Mrs. Mary TAMOIFO NKOM, spokesman for young people to the Africa-France. The coordination Continental implementation of decisions of the 23rd Africa summit - France called the practicalities of implementation that have begun to create a dynamic relationship and work in line with guidelines laid down. Thus married implementation of the proposed permanent secretariat to monitor national, regional and continental shares STRATEGIC AREAS. The summit has led to three strategic thrusts: * To support a political leadership in the direction of the highest authorities of African States * Create and strengthen the capacity of the Coordination Secretariat spokesman * Press through the secretariat the national delegates of different countries in the implementation of the objectives of the summit. OPERATIONAL AREAS It was a continuation and strengthening the momentum initiated by the peak in three main directions: * Continue the dialogue with heads of State and Government and raise awareness among public authorities, particularly by and under the responsibility of the spokesperson * Install a permanent secretariat for coordination of all African delegates * Support the national delegations in the constitution and / or operation of National Youth Councils * Organize regional summit of restitution by the youth delegates and the Diaspora attending the summit. |
